week 3

     The third week of my internship at the Miami-Dade Military Museum began with creating a QR code sheet for the museum. The museum received a call regarding our yelp page having too few reviews. I set up a QR code sheet for the welcome center of the museum so visitors could provide reviews of the museum on yelp. After I made the QR code sheet, I had to print out a hard copy. I then made a hard copy of the survey sheet I completed last week.  Once I made a hard copy of the museum's survey,    I had to help the museum prepare a display of their military jeep. The museum wanted the jeep to be positioned outside for the mayor of Miami-Dade County, Daniella Levine Cava, because she was giving a speech near the museum.  The military jeep was very old so we had to get it re-started and make sure that everything worked smoothly. Week 6

    On February 7, 2024, I was asked by one of my supervisors to work at the museum the following day in the afternoon because the majority of the staff would be out. The following day, I had a visitor that wanted to donate primary sources to the museum. The museum is very selective about the items they receive for display. This is because the museum’s main focus is attached to military history that has a connection with Florida. The person donated different military medals, and old newspapers. In order for the museum to receive a donation, the person making the donation needs to fill out a form, signifying that they acknowledge to donate items to the museum. For legal purposes, and so that people do not want to re-take items they have donated, the museum requires that people making donations sign this specific form.
