week 3

     The third week of my internship at the Miami-Dade Military Museum began with creating a QR code sheet for the museum. The museum received a call regarding our yelp page having too few reviews. I set up a QR code sheet for the welcome center of the museum so visitors could provide reviews of the museum on yelp. After I made the QR code sheet, I had to print out a hard copy. I then made a hard copy of the survey sheet I completed last week.  Once I made a hard copy of the museum's survey,    I had to help the museum prepare a display of their military jeep. The museum wanted the jeep to be positioned outside for the mayor of Miami-Dade County, Daniella Levine Cava, because she was giving a speech near the museum.  The military jeep was very old so we had to get it re-started and make sure that everything worked smoothly. Week 7

      When I went to the museum on Saturday, February, 17, the majority of the staff was very busy because the museum was setting up a new monument for the United States Coast Guard. The Coast Guard was founded in August 4, 1790. In honor of the Coast Guard, and its founder, Alexander Hamilton, the Miami-Dade Military Museum dedicated a memorial to the men and women of the United States Coast Guard. While the memorial was being set up, I was tasked with adding bricks to the path that is going to be completed around the museum. Once the monument was finished, I had to help a visitor locate one of our staff members who is in charge of artifacts and primary sources. The visitor wanted to donate a military medal ribbon bar to the museum. After this, I needed to transfer photos from the Coast Guard monument display into the museum’s social media Facebook page.
